Free to a good home…
Here are a couple of simple little stencils on canvas that i hope to drop off in the laneways of melbourne tomorrow. Hopefully, they get to adorne an alley for some time…before some cunning punter decides to give them a new home. So keep your eyes peeled!

Still in it’s bubble wrap…
I just got my painting ‘Viaticus Radix Malus’ or in english, ‘Money is the root of all evil’ back from being framed. I think it looks very sexy. I opted away from my usual plain black minimal and modern looking frame for an ornate gilt or gold frame. I think the irony adds to the strength of the message in the image.

A couple of new designs to express my dismay for BP’s oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This is a terrible disaster! Considering we have the means now to move away from our fossil fuels, and the fact this is going to have a long term impact on the sea life in the area(and a large surrounding area), water quality and beaches and even the people who live off the sea in the area. If you agree with these sentiments, join me in expressing it on your chest…and make sound energy choices to start moving towards a more sustainable future.

Here is a little bit of papercraft i made a little while back based on my image ‘ Devil in the Details ‘. I did actually go back and rework this so the ASCI code covered the whole of the model. But i haven’t got around to making another one as yet. Anyway, not sure this has had an outing outside of my mantle piece in the lounge…so i thought i would throw it up here. Enjoy!

I have been a bit quiet on here of late, due to being a bit busy with various things…plus, it has been getting awfully cold outside in the studio while painting. But here are a few paintings I have been working on. For something novel, the top two paintings have parts that were painted in glow in the dark paint!

Here is some cool footage from redbubble’s Mr Baxter of the digital printer/production floor and one of my Raven tees being manufactured. The design is obviously inspired by the Edgar Allan Poe poem of the same name…and if you didn’t know already Ravens are the new image of choice for your tee in 2010.

Here is a blast from the past. A history lesson No Frills Art style. This artwork was made in 1999 and inspired by Bill Posters and the urban decay on the walls of Melbourne city.

Here is my new Generic Engineering (Custom Zebra) T-Shirt that i just got back this week. If i do say so myself it looks stunning in the flesh and I can tell it will both turn heads and start conversations. Big props to Redbubble for their quality products as this is as good as any tee i have owned. And the turn around time was only about a week so I couldn’t ask for anything more really.

Just picked up a copy of the latest issue of Nett Magazine. It has an article on co-founder of the Redbubble site Martin Hosking. They used a few images from some of the designers off the site for the layout, which i think actually looks pretty slick for a business type magazine. I was happy to see both my Environmental Footprint and my Roadmap to Peace get an outing.

Some more dead spraycans being recycled to be placed back into the urban environment. I kind of like the idea that they will probably be nicked and end up adourning a fireplace mantle in a share house.

T-Shirts the Old Skool way…
Here is the documentation shots from a recent workshop i was asked to do at a local community centre in my hometown. We were making T-Shirts using spray cans, stencils and markers. Overall, I think there were some excellent results and all involved had a great day.

Well as you can see this one is still wet on the floor of the Studio. Another paster on canvas. In fact this image was made as a joke to email to a friend ages back…then i found it again and thought ” I actually like this!”. So here it is as a painting now.
